Beautiful chalk and sandstone church
One of four churches in the Headlands Benefice, St Michael’s is essentially a twelfth-century building with some beautiful additions and renovations. Set at the heart of the village, it is very well worth a visit. We have a striking red-brick chancel, and a lovely stained glass window depicting St Francis at Bempton cliffs with no fewer than six species of seabird. The church is usually open during daylight hours.
Do join us in our worship. Our morning services take place every Sunday at 10.30 am. We hold evening services each fortnight, at 6.00 pm on the first and third Sundays of the month.
If there is a fifth Sunday in the month, instead of the above there is a Benefice service in one of the four churches: check noticeboards for venue and time.
