Legend has it that Magnus, the godly ruler of Orkney, was murdered by his jealous cousin. The cathedral in Orkney's capital, Kirkwall, bears his name, and this little church in the Yorkshire Wolds is a one-third scale replica.
The church is popular for baptisms, weddings and Christmas services. It is linked to St Mark's West Hill and is part of the Christ Church Bridlington network of churches.
We hold fortnightly services here all year round, thanks to newly installed heating! They are at 9.30 am on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, and at the fourth Sunday services we celebrate Holy Communion.
There is also a midweek service on Wednesdays at 10.00 am following the Northumbrian Celtic Prayer. Everyone is welcome.
On Saturdays the Church is open to visitors from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm. Refreshments are available.
